About
NASA Space Apps Alexandria is the local chapter of the NASA International Space Apps Challenge in Alexandria. Since 2019, we have built a strong innovation community by bringing together people from different backgrounds to collaborate, create, and learn through a global hackathon. The event connects local talent with international challenges in Earth and space science, sustainability, data, and technology.

Challenges
Participants choose from official challenge themes for the current edition and build one project per team. The four areas below help you see where your strengths fit best.
Engineering & artificial intelligence
Intelligent and engineering-driven solutions using AI for NASA-related challenges-automation, image analysis, prediction, decision support, and systems that support Earth-based or space-related missions.
Data science & analytics
Analyze open data for insights, patterns, and data-driven solutions-visualization, analytics, forecasting, environmental interpretation, and scientific exploration.
Programming & technological solutions
Build practical digital products-web apps, mobile apps, tools, or software systems that use NASA data to solve real-world problems.
Earth & space sciences
Scientific challenges linked to Earth and space-climate, planetary science, astronomy, and broader scientific understanding. Projects may be research-based, educational, or awareness-focused.
